Ponzi Vineyards Madrona Pinot Noir 2016

“Deep brilliant red. An exotically perfumed nose evokes ripe red and blue fruits, Moroccan spices, incense and vanilla, and a smoky mineral flourish adds energetic lift. Palate-staining, appealingly sweet raspberry, boysenberry and rose pastille flavors convey a suave blend of richness and energy thanks to a core of juicy acidity. Smooth, well-knit tannins support a strikingly long, smoke-tinged finish that leaves suggestions of star anise, cola and candied flowers behind. (50% whole clusters and 50% new French oak)”
