Ponzi Vineyards Aurora Chardonnay 2016 (92 VM)
“Pale, shimmering gold. Vibrant, mineral-accented citrus and orchard fruit and ginger qualities on the highly perfumed nose, along with a suave honeysuckle nuance. Dry, chewy and focused in the mouth, offering bitter pear skin, Meyer lemon and quinine flavors and a deeper honeydew note that emerges with air. Closes minerally and long, displaying lingering florality and firm, spicy cut. 15 % new oak.”
Aurora Chardonnay 2016
Willamette Valley, Oregon
Oregon Chardonnays present an unparalleled combination of bright acidity, texture and freshness of fruit on the mid-palate. Winemaker Luisa Ponzi’s goal is to allow the wines to express these characteristics each vintage through single vineyard expressions. Aurora yields an elegant wine with bright acidity and fruit.
