Noah River Wines are good old fashioned everyday wines made by veteran Winemaker Jamey Whetstone. After scouring California for good quality grapes and years of building relationships with growers, Jamey has crafted wines that are deeply satisfying to drink. They are juicy from the California sunshine, made with a light touch, and refreshingly balanced with savory characteristics that speak to their versatility. We are so pleased to be able to offer these wines in New York for the first time.
A blend of fruit from the Central Coast and Monterey, this Chardonnay seamlessly marries warmth, fruit, and freshness for a delightful everyday wine.
Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, almost all of which hails from Arroyo Secco, this is a beautiful example of domestic Pinot Noir at an everyday price.
A brilliant blend of Cabernet from grapes grown in Lake County, Lodi, and Mendocino, this wine balances the rich texture, dark fruit, and classical herbal and savory characteristics that make California Cabernet not only satisfying, but world famous.
Jamey Whetstone moved out to Napa Valley from his home in South Carolina to manage Mustards Grill in 1996. Simply captivated by the community, lifestyle and culture of wine country, he found himself quickly growing roots. By 1998, he had begun his winemaking education at Turley Wine Cellars where he would remain in his apprenticeship until 2005. During that time, he spent a summer sabbatical working for the Seysses Family at Domaine Dujac in Morey-Saint-Denis and laid the groundwork for Whetstone Wine Cellars in 2002.
