Timeplace Wine Co
Rosé 2019
Lodi, California
Vineyard
Sheldon Hills Vineyard, affectionately known as “el Jamon” because the vineyard is shared like a ham, is situated at the northeasternmost corner of Lodi in the Sloughouse AVA. Known for being a warmer corner of Lodi, it is marked by river rocks and delta breezes with higher elevation sites eschewing the fog and delta breezes. in 2014, Markus Bokisch planted Gremache and Mourvedre at this incredible site as the varieties are perfectly suited to this climate.
Winemaking
Blend of Mourvèdre and Grenache, whole-cluster pressed, stainless steel fermented, indigenous primary and secondary fermentations, racked clean and aged in neutral French oak barrels for four months.
Tasting Note
Pale translucent pink in the glass, the Timplace Rosé opens with aromas of strawberry and lime blossom. The palate gives way to fresh rhubarb, strawberry and thyme, with a distant hint of a deeper colored berry. The finish is dry and crisp.
Suggesting Food Pairing
Timplace Rosé is perfect on its own as a warm weather aperitif, or paired with salads, grilled fish, and light pastas.
